Spin-offs have made a whole new name for themselves in the form of reboots and, well, reincarnations that are actually GOOD!

From Girl Meets World to Private Practice, we are HERE for fresh, new takes on our favourite TV shows — which is why we’re confused AF as to why some SUPER popular series have yet to birth the spin-offs audiences deserve.

There are BFFs who still need to take on their respective cities, iconic couples with new chapters to begin, and characters who are just too damn perfect to simply disappear from the small screen.

Networks, take note — here are 15 TV show spin-offs that should have happened by now:

1. Legendary: The Barney Stinson Story, A How I Met Your Mother Spin-Off

Neil Patrick Harris needs to suit up one more time and step back into the role of Barney Stinson, everyone’s favourite bro.

2. Troy & Abed In The Morning, A Community Spin-Off

This hilarious mini-sketch — born from Troy and Abed’s fictional friendship (as well as actors Donald Glover and Danny Pudi’s real-life bromance) — needs a primetime slot on Comedy Network, STAT.

3. The It Girl, A Gossip Girl Spin-Off

Fans of the Gossip Girl book franchise will know that author Cecily von Ziegesar also created a spin-off series entitled The It Girl, which follows Jenny Humphrey’s journey post-NYC after being sent away to boarding school. The novels are just as salacious as its predecessor, so you KNOW a small-screen adaption would produce can’t miss TV.

4. Klaine, A Glee Spin-Off

This groundbreaking, primetime LGBTQ couple DESERVES their own spin-off — and selfishly we want Chris Colfer/Kurt Hummel and Darren Criss/Blaine Anderson to return to our screens as the incredible stage dads we KNOW they’d be.

5. Paper Jam, The Office Spin-Off

First of all, can we talk about this title? “Paper,”  an homage to the workplace that started it all — Dunder-Mifflin — and “Jam,” the cutest couple moniker EVER. We’re already off to a great start. But in all seriousness, who WOULDN’T watch Pam and Jim navigate the next stage of their life as a couple?

6. The Revengenda, A Revenge Spin-Off

The Revenge writers basically wrote the Nolan spin-off in the series finale: Emily has left her revenging ways to Nolan, who has the brains, brawn and experience to help others seek justice and revenge —  he aided Emily on her mission after all.  Throw in some love stories, kick-ass action sequences and Hamptons drama and you’ve got the perfect spin-off. Plus, we miss Gabriel Mann’s face and Nolan’s sass. A lot.

7. Lizzie Mom-Guire, A Lizzie McGuire Spin-Off

Honestly, we’d love to watch Lizzie as a mom guiding her children — just like her quirky, adorkable parents did before her. Plus, we have so many unanswered questions, including the biggest one of all: DID LIZZIE AND GORDO END UP TOGETHER?!

8. Ron Swanson, A Parks & Recreation Spin-Off

If there’s one secondary character from a popular comedy series that needs their own show, it’s Ron-FRICKIN’-Swanson.

9. Our Tree Hill, A One Tree Hill Spin-Off

While we truly were happy for Lucas and Peyton as they rode off into the sunset together — along with their beautiful baby girl, Sawyer Brooke Scott — at the end of season 6 of One Tree Hill, YOU CAN’T JUST LEAVE US HANGING LIKE THAT!!! A spin-off based on their new life together is REQUIRED viewing for OG #OTH fans.

10. The Dowager, A Downton Abbey Spin-Off

All we’re asking for is a prequel chronicling The Dowager’s life as a young woman pre-Downton era. It would be the period piece we all need right about now to satisfy our Downton Abbey cravings.

11. The OC: Next Generation, The OC Spin-Off

We’d be lying if we said we were happy with how this iconic teen drama ended. TBH, it was all a bit of a hot mess once Mischa Barton left — but we’d TOTALLY watch a re-vamped, modern version of this California dream of a TV show, especially if former cast members made guest appearances.

12. Jack & Karen, A Will & Grace Spin-Off

BUT ACTUALLY, HOW HAS THIS NOT HAPPENED YET PEOPLE?! THE SASS. THE SARCASM. THE ONE LINERS. WE NEED THIS.

13. S*** Chloe Says, A Don’t Trust The B In Apartment 23 Spin-Off

While we’re LOVING Krysten Ritter’s portrayal of Marvel’s Jessica Jones, her character Chloe from Don’t Trust The B In Apartment 23 had some of the BEST one-liners to ever hit the small screen. We’d love for Ritter to reprise this role at some point.

14. Living Bombshell, A Smash Spin-Off

Ivy is creating a musical about her life. That’s the story — and we’d watch the hell out of it.

15. When Life Gives Liz Lemons, A 30 Rock Spin-Off

Liz Lemon — and the woman behind her, Tina Fey — are our spirit animals. We need them both back in our lives ASAP.
